Middle Ruddings is close to the main A66 Penrith / Keswick / Cockermouth / Workington road, just west of Keswick.
After passing Keswick continue toward Cockermouth for about a mile. You will see a sign and turn for Buttermere, Braithwaite. Do NOT take this turn but carry on for 150 yards to the next turn. It is before a sign that says Thornthwaite and Gallery. (A useful pointer in the dark.)
As you turn, the hotel is in front of you. Turn immediately right and then left into the car park. The reception area is next to the car park.
